Dmitry Vertel was born on May 2, 1979 in the city of Moscow. From an early age in his childhood he took a keen interest in art, displaying talents beyond his years. Vertel furthered his education in Moscow where he graduated from the Stroganov Art Academy in 2001.

He spends much of his time traveling and searching for new inspirations for his color saturated, light-flooded works. Vertel is able to capture the emotion of a particular place with great depth. His tranquil scenes of Venice have made everlasting impressions on many collectors across the world. Vertel currently lives and works in Moscow.
